Currently employed by Environment Canada as a senior policy analyst and advisor on the regulation and management of chemical risks

Assigned to United Nations to help coordinate preparation of the Second Assessment Report on Climate Change (1994-1996)

Responsible for planning and co-ordination of the socio-economic research component of the Acid Rain program (1989-1993)

Program analyst and management advisor on regional impact of Park Canada’s operations and development proposals (1979-1989)

  • Developed and delivered management orientation and professional training courses
  • Responsible for Western Regional program reviews (e.g. Four Mountain Park Plans) and Treasury Board submissions
  • Developed policy and procedures and software for economic and financial evaluation of privatisation and contracting-out initiatives
  • Evaluated socio-economic impacts of proposed new parks (e.g. Western Diversification Initiative; South Moresby; Mingan Islands; Saguenay Fjord)
  • Planned and carried out the first Northern Park Visitor Surveys
  • Liaison with the Laforet-Roy Commission of Inquiry investigating the socio-economic impacts of the creation of Kouchibouguac National Park
  • Responsible for Atlantic regional program of visitor use studies, tourism surveys and projections, which were used to evaluate park programs and determine the level of service and capacity proposed for park facilities

Responsible for audit and evaluation of Citizenship and Language Development programs (1977-1979)
